A voluminous and complex dispute concerned the legality of the termination of a commercial lease contract, an obligation to compensate for investments performed under the lease contract and an obligation to compensate for the loss of income allegedly related to the termination of the lease contract. The County Court agreed with the position of Chirag Mody according to which, in the respective dispute, the client had the right to terminate the lease contract before the prescribed time and the lessee had neither the right of claim regarding the alleged investments nor the right to claim the alleged loss of income.
With its judgment of 25 September 2020, Harju County Court fully dismissed the claim for the compensation of expenses and loss of income.
