The firm’s white-collar crime team, led by attorney-at-law Marko Kairjak, successfully represented Estonia’s former Minister of Finance Mart Opmann in a criminal case, achieving the termination of proceedings due to the expiry of the limitation period.

The Harju County Court terminated proceedings in the criminal case of Mart Opmann on 6 October 2014. The court granted the request of attorney-at-law Marko Kairjak and closed the proceedings regarding the offence that involved an abuse of trust and causing the insolvency of a company, due to the expiry of the limitation period. The court also obligated the state to reimburse the legal costs incurred by Mr Opmann.
