20.03.2024 TGS Baltic advised Soldera, the creator of the renewable energy certificate of origin management platform

TGS Baltic advised the Estonian company Soldera and helped launch the first renewable energy certificate of origin management platform in Estonia.

We assisted Soldera with the preparation of business contracts necessary for the operation of the platform. This unique project was managed by partner Priit Lätt from the TGS Baltic team.

What are certificates of origin? Certificates of origin have been created in the European Union in order to promote the production and use of renewable energy. They ensure transparency and reliability of the origin of energy. With the help of Elering, every electricity consumer in Estonia can see where their renewable energy comes from.

Certificates of origin are important for consumers, businesses and organizations that want to be sure that their energy comes from renewable sources. It helps fight climate change, increases demand for green energy and encourages investment in renewable energy projects.

Soldera - what is it about?

Estonian solar energy producers have discovered a unique opportunity not only to support the green transition, but also to benefit from it economically. The system of certificates of origin plays a central role in this process by ensuring transparent and reliable verification of the benefits of renewable energy.

Soldera is an important component of this system, providing an efficient and simple way to manage certificates of origin and offering producers new benefits from renewable energy. See more: https://www.soldera.org/
