04.05.2020 TGS Baltic advised the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania in issuance of two issues of Eurobonds for a record amount of EUR 2 billion

TGS Baltic advised the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania in structuring and issuing two issues of Eurobonds for the total value of EUR 2 billion.

Bonds for the nominal value of EUR 750 million have been issued for a period of 5 years and bonds for the nominal value of EUR 1.250 billion have been issued for 10 years. This record amount received for Eurobonds is intended for ensuring liquidity of the state treasury. The subscribed bonds will soon be admitted to trading on the Luxembourg stock exchange.

The 5-year bond issue (EUR 750 million) pays 0.250 percent annual interest. These Eurobonds have been distributed at 0.345 percent yield. For the 10-year (EUR 1.250 billion) bond issue Lithuania will pay 0.750 percent annual interest. These Eurobonds have been distributed at 0.829 percent yield.

In distribution of the issue, banking groups BNP Paribas, Citi and Erste acted as intermediaries. In addition to TGS Baltic, the State in this transaction was also represented by international law firm Dentons UK and Middle East LLP.

TGS Baltic – Partner Vidmantas Drizga, Associate Partner Mantas Gofmanas and Junior Associate Kotryna Visockytė – were advisors to the Ministry on the issues of Lithuanian law in this process, who assisted in preparation of the programme offer documentation, also other documents in connection with the project.
