TGS Baltic advised ZAKA Startups on leading a EUR 728,000 investment round in Alpha AR OÜ. Alpha AR plans to use the raised financing to develop its 3D-modelling platform.

Estonian start-up Alpha AR uses artificial intelligence (AI) to turn 2D images into 3D models. Alpha AR has the ambition to become a leading provider of automated 3D modelling software, working closely with its customers across industries to make the metaverse a reality in the years to come.

ZAKA Startups is a private pre-seed and seed venture capital company. It is focused on early-stage software-driven investments across the whole EU and US with a primary focus on CEE, DACH, and Baltics. ZAKA’s current portfolio consists of 12 investments in the field of AI, Analytics, B2B SaaS, Gaming, Consumer apps, and Crypto. ZAKA operates primarily from Prague and Bratislava with scouts in Berlin and the Baltic region.

It was ZAKA Startups’ second investment into Estonia’s technology ecosystem this year. According to Andrej Petrus, investment director of ZAKA Startups, in Estonia, there is a mature start-up market and there are many experienced founders who are happy to share their experiences and kick off new and innovative undertakings. “We invest in seed-stage companies across the CEE and plan to increase our focus in the Baltics and Estonia as well,” said Petrus.

TGS Baltic experts Kadri Kallas, Mirko Kikkamägi, Mari-Liis Orav, Mari Anne Valberg, and Sergei Jegorov advised the client during the entire transaction, from carrying out legal due diligence concerning the Estonian company to preparing the transaction documents and advising on related negotiations and closing the investment.
