    Gytis Kaminskas is Partner and advocate at law firm TGS Baltic with 28 years of legal work experience. In addition to his legal work, Gytis gained his experience doing diplomatic work and in positions of high responsibility in public institutions.

    Gytis also lectured at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science and the International Business School, gave seminars for judges, published scientific articles. Gytis has considerable experience in international arbitration as an arbitrator.

      Advising and representing a client and its CEO and 50% shareholder in a number of civil cases

      TGS Baltic is advising and representing a client as well as its CEO and 50% shareholder in a number of civil cases initiated by the other 50% shareholder. They include a case regarding unfair competition and protection of the company’s confidential information, a case regarding the buy-out of shares, a case for damages, a case for examination of the company’s activities, etc.

    • Represented and conducted a case before the European Union Civil Service Tribunal

      Represented and conducted a case before the European Union Civil Service Tribunal, case C-239/07, requesting clarification of Article 20 of Directive 2003/54/EC on Internal market in electricity, transmission and distribution systems, third-party access, obligations of Member States, and open access of third parties to electricity transmission and distribution systems.

    • Represented and conducted a case before the European Court of Justice

      Represented and conducted a case before the European Court of Justice, case C-195/08 PPU requesting for urgent preliminary ruling procedure, in relation to Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003, enforcement in matrimonial matters and matters of parental responsibility, application for non-recognition of a decision requiring the return of a child wrongfully retained in another Member State and urgent preliminary ruling procedure.

    • Participated in providing legal consultations to AB Lietuvos elektrinė in construction of a new unit

      Participated in providing legal consultations to and in full legal representation of AB Lietuvos elektrinė in construction of new unit 9, the value of which exceeds EUR 318 million (LTL 1.1 billion), including drafting of procurement documents, negotiations for the contract, representation in relationship with the general contractor and acceptance of the object.

    • Represented and advised major Lithuanian energy companies in solving energy related issues

      Represented and advised major Lithuanian energy companies, such as AB Achema, AB Orlen Lietuva, AB Lifosa in solving energy-related issues.

    • Participated in providing legal consultations to AB Lietuvos dujos in transformation of the company

      Participated in providing legal consultations to AB Lietuvos dujos regarding the transformation of the company in fulfillment of the requirements of the 3rd Energy Package.

    • Participated in the procedure against Lithuania regarding the liquefied natural gas terminal (State aid mechanism)
