Tadas Varapnickas, a Senior Associate and attorney at law, has more than 10 years of experience in dispute resolution and international commercial arbitration in particular. He has acquired valuable experience in large and complex projects, successfully representing clients in arbitration under SCC, ICC, VCCA and other arbitration rules.
Tadas holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Law) from Vilnius University (doctoral dissertation: “Arbitrator’s civil liability and its boundaries”); in 2017 Tadas attended an international arbitration course at the International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris. In 2021, he has started LLM studies in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) at the University of Geneva (Switzerland).
In addition to legal activities, Tadas was also an active member of the academic community: between 2015 and 2021, he served as a lecturer at the Vilnius University Faculty of Law (where he was elected the Lecturer of the Year in 2018), a supervisor of the Legal Clinic of the Vilnius University Faculty of Law. In 2014-2016 he also held the position of a Legal Adviser to the President of the Republic of Lithuania (Legal Affairs Group).
