    Triinu Järviste is an experienced competition law specialist who has advised and represented clients in all fields of competition law. She has long-term experience in representing clients in criminal proceedings related to anti-competitive activities, proceedings concerning distortion of competition in the Estonian Competition Authority and in courts, both in merger control proceedings and in proceedings for claims arising out of competition law in civil courts. In addition, Triinu Järviste has extensive experience in assisting companies in bringing their daily economic activity into conformity with the requirements of competition law.

    Triinu Järviste is especially knowledgeable in matters in the field of state aid, having advised many grantors and recipients of state aid and represented them in state aid proceedings in the European Commission and in national courts. Her track record involves helping several public enities with regard to state aid audits and compliance.

    Throughout her career Triinu Järviste has been advising numerous undertakings active in regulatory sectors such as electricity, gas, post, water management, electronic communications and transport. Her experience in regulatory sectors includes advising and representing clients in matters related to price regulation, the support system for renewable energy, network issues as well as litigation.

    Triinu Järviste is also a member of the Competition Law Committee of the Estonian Bar Association and she is a lecturer on competition law offences at the University of Tartu.

      The TGS Baltic team advised Sulev Sisask, the majority shareholder of Ordi AS, one of the oldest IT hardware companies in Estonia, on the sale of shares to Klick Eesti AS, the process that lasted for two months was led by Sander Kärson, the managing partner at TGS Baltic.

      Successfully represented AS Tartu Agro in Supreme Court

      TGS Baltic senior associates Triin Kaurov and Triinu Järviste represented AS Tartu Agro in the Estonian Supreme Court as a result of which, the Ministry of Rural Affairs must give out a legal opinion concerning the decision of the European Commission on unlawful state aid made against Tartu Agro. The team also included Mari-Liis Orav and Robin Luts.

      TGS Baltic experts advised LHV Varahaldus AS which manages LHV Pension Funds on acquiring the registered immovable located at Sõpruse pst 157, Tallinn, Estonia.

      Varahalduse Kinnisvarainvesteering 004 OÜ, which belongs to LHV Varahaldus AS, entered into a contract with OÜ Sõpruse 157 to acquire the registered immovable located at Sõpruse pst 157. The owner of Varahalduse Kinnisvarainvesteering 004 OÜ is LHV Group, which is listed on the Tallinn Stock Exchange, through LHV Varahaldus.

      We Advised One of Baltics’ Largest Real Estate Companies Kapitel on Acquisition of 50% Holding in Logistics Property Company Nordassets

      The main area of activity of Nordassets is development, acquisition, management and leasing of industrial property. The enterprise owns logistics centres with approximately 59,000 m² space for rent and a registered immovable with a detailed plan in Rae Rural Municipality in Harju County, the main lessee of which is Smarten Logistics. The transaction will take effect after obtaining approval from the Estonian Competition Authority.

      Representing the largest Estonian cable operator Starman in claiming compensation for damages deriving from an abuse of a dominant position (unfair prices) by the owner of cable canalization Elion, largest telecommunications company in Estonia.
