Kristjan Kalda, partner at BaltCap, the leading private equity and venture capital investor in Baltics, was elected as a new Chairman. He also serves as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BaltCap portfolio companies TREV2 Group, Fitek and Magnetic MRO which was recently named Estonian Company of the Year and Estonian Exporter of the Year. In addition, the New Management Board of EstVCA consists of Kalmer Kikas (BPM Capital), Margus Uudam (Karma Ventures), Heidi Kakko (BaltCap Growth Fund), Kaido Veske (Livonia Partners), Martin Hendre (Tera Ventures), Sille Pettai (SmartCap), Antti Perli (Ellex Raidla), Mihkel Kolk (Estonian Association of Fund Managers) and Kristel Raidla-Talur (COBALT).
Estonian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EstVCA), which consists of 15 members and 23 Associate Members, was established in 2009. Members of ESTVCA are Ambient Sound Investments, BaltCap, BPM Capital, Eften Capital, European Investment Fund, Invesco Finance, Karma Ventures, KredEx, LHV Asset Management, Livonia Partners, SmartCap, Swedbank Investment Funds, Tera Ventures, United Partners and UP Invest, with combined assets of 880 million euros. There are total of 93 active portfolio companies employing more than 12 000 people and revenue of 1,3 billion euros.
