The conference raised issues related to illegal broadcasting activities, the legal regulation of television content monitoring and management. Gediminas Lisauskas delivered the report “Legal issues of preventing illegal television programme distribution in Lithuania”.
The conference brought together representatives of broadcasters and electronic communications services providers operating in Lithuania, representatives of Lithuanian governmental institutions, copyright and related rights collective management societies, Lithuanian and foreign television broadcasters and equipment manufacturers, and allied trade associations and media. In total over 190 persons.
The Lithuanian Cable Television Association unites operators of telecommunications networks that offer cable television, Internet and other services, represents and protects their legal, economic, commercial and other interests before different state and business institutions. At present, the Association comprises 37 companies.
