M&A and Corporate Employment

"This team is well placed to advise on the full remit of employment issues, assisting with human resource policies, dismissals and data protection issues."

Whatever the business you do, it is likely you will have to deal with employment and HR challenges along the way, whether contentious or non-contentious.

We are ready to advise you on all types of employment challenges and opportunities, and to provide you with a coordinated solution throughout the Baltics. Our employment team works closely with our experts in tax, M&A, IP/IT, litigation and other areas to give you pragmatic, business-focused legal advice in everyday situations as well as in complex and sensitive cases. We have significant experience dealing with complex issues like restructuring and workforce reduction, executive hiring and firing, the personal liability of executives, incentive schemes and employee benefits, thefts of confidential information and the enforcement of restrictive covenants, internal corporate investigations, and employee privacy issues and GDPR compliance for HR documents, systems and processes.

We prioritise preventive work to avoid employment disputes and employer liability, but we are well-placed to assist and represent you if you do end up in court. The team is known for its highly successful litigation practice, having won numerous landmark cases that have set precedents in employment law.

Our attorneys also actively participate in academic research on employment law and contribute to legislative processes, all of which gives us even deeper knowledge and expertise in this field.
