The students’ performance was evaluated also by TGS Baltic associate Māra Stabulniece, who specializes in competition and public procurement issues, and took part in the moot court as a judge, recognizing the high level of students’ knowledge and skills.
Participation in the Moot Court Competition allows improving the skills of prospective and young lawyers in analysing, arguing and bringing forward reasoned arguments, when competing with other participants of the moot court.
The particular moot court was dedicated to competition law, addressing issues related to prohibited agreement, i.e. cartel, in public procurement proceedings concluded between members of association, which is one of the violations most often found by the Competition Council in Latvia.
The aforementioned and other moot courts in Latvia are traditionally organized by the association of law students ELSA Latvia.
