TGS Baltic has advised Smart Energy Fund powered by Lietuvos Energija on its investment in Moixa, UK-based company developing smart energy storage devices and virtual power plants technologies. TGS Baltic partner Aurimas Pauliukevičius advised the client on all legal issues related to the investment.

The EUR 10 million investment round was led by Honda, Japanese automobile manufacturer. Other investors include ITOCHU Corporation, a Japanese investment house, and Fortune 500 company and UK-based venture capital investor First Imagine! Ventures. Smart Energy Fund invested EUR 500 thousand.

Moixa’s GridShare platform facilitates the smart charging of batteries and electric vehicles. It uses artificial intelligence to monitor energy use and develop charging plans that are tailored to the needs of customers.

Smart Energy Fund powered by Lietuvos Energija (Lithuanian Energy) and managed by Contrarian Ventures invests in start-ups that are developing new technologies in the energy technology field.
