Vladlena Rudusāne-Simiča, a lawyer with more than 6 years of experience in competition law, EU law and regulatory law matters, has joined the TGS Baltic team.

Before joining TGS Baltic, Vladlena was a consultant at BDK Advokati (Belgrade, Serbia), one of the leading law firms in the Balkans, where she mainly specialized in competition and state aid law, advising clients from different industries, including pharma and FMCG, on various antitrust, state aid and merger control matters. Vladlena also advised on matters related to international trade, investment protection and public procurement, as well as business compliance issues.  

 In 2018, Legal 500 has recognized her as a ‘’Next Generation Lawyer’’ in competition law in Serbia.

Vladlena has also worked as a lawyer for a law firm and an audit, accounting and assurance consultancy in Riga, where she advised corporate clients on corporate and commercial law, financial regulation, labour law and taxation matters.

During her studies, Vladlena took part in national and international moot courts, including Telders International Law Moot Court in 2010 in The Hague and Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2011 in Washington D.C. In 2012, she was awarded the first prize and the best oralist award at the Kārlis Dišlers Constitutional Law Moot Court in Riga. In 2014, Vladlena’s team reached regional semi-finals in the ELSA EMC2 WTO moot court in Prague, and the next year she coached the Graduate Institute’s student team for the ELSA EMC2 WTO moot court (Geneva).

Vladlena holds a Master’s degree in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva (2015), LL.M. with a specialization in international and EU law from the Riga Graduate School of Law (2013), and a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Latvia (2011).
